A new method for designing observers of a nonlinear time-delay Glucose-Insulin system
Abstract
This paper presents a novel method for designing a state observer of a class of nonlinear Glucose-Insulin (GI) systems with two time delays. Based on the positivity of its solutions, we suggested a new state transformation to transform the model into a new observable form. In this new form, the time delays in the system description appear in the input and out put vectors, but not in the state vector. As a result, a state observer can be easily designed. Simulation results are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the suggested method.
