Abstract
This research focuses on studying the inhabitans’ exploitation of seafood resources in Cochinchina in the 17th – 18th centuries. Those were fishing and seafood processing activities, providing not only seafood but also natural raw materials for craft and decoration products, building materials, goods, exported products. Those effe c tive activities contributed to Cochinchina’s economic strength .
