Developing Physical Education contents for students with weaker health at Quy Nhon University

Abstract

The current Physical Education courses at Quy Nhon University (QNU) is a mass program for non-major students. There has not yet been a system of fully applied research-based exercises that is suitable for different groups of students. Based on the practice of teaching and learning Physical Education at Quy Nhon University, there is a group of 565 students (94 male, 471 female) with weaker health such as those with rapid or low pulses or with limb defects which are confirmed by their medical results after check-ups at the beginning of the academic year or from officially-certified health agencies. This fact required appropriate activities for those students so as to avoid strong and dangerous physical activities that may negatively affect them. Therefore, chess is chosen for these groups of students, including 03 credits, each of which has 30 periods of teaching.
