Factors influencing tourists’ pro-environmental behaviour in Binh Dinh province
Abstract
Our research assess the effects of factors on responsible behaviour intention of tourists during their visit to Binh Dinh region. To collect data needed for the research, an on-site survey consisted of 200 visistors throughout Binh Dinh has been carried out through questionnaires by researchers. After the gathering proccess, the researchers evaluated the Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) to identify the factor group. Furthermore, the linear regression model’s statistics demonstrated the effects of all respective variables on the pro-environmental intention of the research tourists. The results of EFA have 4 factor group: attitude and concern towards the environment, surrounding community’s perspective, place attachment, past experience and willingness to protect the environment. The results of linear regression model show that attitude and concern towards the environment, surrounding community’s perspective, place attachment affect the intention of tourists to environmentally responsible tourism in Binh Dinh . Inside, a ttitude and concern towards environment is the most influential variable. With the result in mind, the study addresses current problems and proposes a number of solutions to promote tourists’ environmentally responsible behaviour during their visit.
