Test and assessment in teaching civic education in some high schools in Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh Province: Current situation and solutions
Abstract
Civic education in high school has a leading position in the orientation of personality development, strongly stimulating the development of learners' competence and thinking ability but in general this subject has not been highly appreciated. Students do not seem to be interested in the subject. The results of renovating teaching methods in the subjects are still limited. The test and evaluation of learning results still focus on form and test scores do not really access exactly the ability of the learners. Therefore, on the basis of theoretical research, the status of teaching and testing, assessing the results of studying civic education in some high schools in Quy Nhon city, the author proposed a number of solutions to contribute to creating qualitative changes in education in general and in the process of teaching civic education in particular.
