Prosecuting criminal cases at the request of the victim according to the criminal procedure code 2015
Abstract
Criminal procedure legislation recognizes the right of the victims, requiring competent authorities to prosecute criminal cases, to protect their legal rights and interests. Regulations about this right in the 2015 Criminal Procedure Code are more open than the previous criminal procedure codes but it has nots still been inadequacies. The article analyzes advantages and disadvantages of the institution “prosecuting criminal cases at the request of the victim” according to the Criminal Procedure Code 2015, after it offers some recommendations to overcome the limitations.
